VP of Finance

Build Financial Strength. Influence Strategy. Make a Difference Every Day.

Do You Belong Here?

Qside Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced and collaborative financial professional to serve as its next Vice President of Finance. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day financial management with strategic partnership and wants to have a visible impact on a growing community-focused credit union.

With approximately $55 million in assets, Qside Federal Credit Union offers the opportunity to make meaningful contributions across every aspect of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Vice President of Finance serves as the organization's senior financial leader and trusted advisor, helping guide financial decisions that support long-term sustainability while ensuring members continue to receive exceptional service.

Unlike larger financial institutions where responsibilities are often divided among multiple departments, this role offers broad exposure to every aspect of finance. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, auditors, and regulators while helping shape the financial future of the organization.

If you enjoy working in an environment where your ideas matter, your contributions are visible, and your work directly impacts the success of the credit union and its members, we'd love to meet you.

Do You Find Purpose Beyond Numbers?

Reporting directly to the COO, the Vice President of Finance oversees the credit union's accounting and financial reporting functions while providing thoughtful financial guidance to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements, coordinating quarterly Call Reports, overseeing budgeting and financial forecasting, monitoring investments, supporting the credit union's asset/liability management (ALM) program and balance sheet strategy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements. The Vice President of Finance will help evaluate interest rate risk, liquidity, and investment performance while providing financial insights that support sound strategic decision-making.

Success in this position requires someone who is equally comfortable reconciling accounts, preparing reports, analyzing trends, and discussing financial strategy with the COO and Board. This leader will help transform financial data into practical recommendations that support informed decision-making throughout the organization.

At Qside Federal Credit Union, finance is more than balancing the books. It's about helping the organization remain financially strong so it can continue serving members for years to come.

Can We Grow Together?

The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting or finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. While previous credit union experience is preferred, candidates from banking or other financial institutions with strong accounting and financial reporting experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualified candidates should possess experience with:

  • Preparing and reconciling monthly financial statements
  • Preparing quarterly NCUA Call Reports (or similar regulatory reporting)
  • Budget preparation and financial forecasting
  • Financial analysis and strategic planning
  • Investment monitoring and analysis
  • Asset/liability management (ALM), interest rate risk analysis, and balance sheet management
  • Working with auditors and regulatory examiners
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving financial performance

Most importantly, we're seeking someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, approachable, and eager to become a trusted business partner to the CEO and Board of Directors. The successful candidate doesn't need experience leading a large finance department—but should be comfortable taking ownership of the credit union's financial operations and helping guide its future.

The salary range for this position is $85,000–$108,000 annually, with a target starting salary of $90,000-$95,000.
