Kitsap Credit Union ($2.5B) is seeking an innovative Vice President of Risk Management to shape the future of risk management in a rapidly evolving financial landscape. As technology, AI, cyber risk, and regulatory expectations continue to change, this leader will build and elevate enterprise risk management at a progressive, member-focused credit union in the Pacific Northwest.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the SVP/CFO, this strategic second-line-of-defense leadership role has direct influence and visibility with executive leadership and the Board.

You will:

Lead the ongoing development and refinement of the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework and risk appetite structure

Provide independent oversight of operational, regulatory, technology, cyber, and third-party risks

Lead compliance, BSA/AML, OFAC, vendor management, fraud/loss prevention, and business continuity

Anticipate and assess emerging risks tied to AI, digital transformation, fintech partnerships, and evolving cyber threats

Evaluate new products and services through a risk lens

Partner closely with IT leadership to provide effective second-line oversight of technology and information security risk

Deliver meaningful reporting and insights to senior leadership, the Supervisory Committee, and the Board

Monitor regulatory developments and coordinate enterprise impact assessments to ensure proactive compliance and exam readiness

Help the organization balance innovation with protection, ensuring growth happens responsibly

You bring:

8+ years of risk, compliance, or enterprise risk leadership in a bank or credit union (preferred)

Supervisory experience and the ability to develop high-performing teams

Deep knowledge of regulatory, consumer protection, data privacy, and information security requirements

Demonstrated success in strengthening or maturing an enterprise risk management framework

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership presence

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Professional certifications such as CRCMP, CISA, CRISC, CIA, or similar are a plus
