Compensation: $166,500 - $250,000 based on experience and credentials

Location Type: Hybrid, a flexible work model blending in-office and remote working
Position Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 

 

The Vice President of the Enterprise Project Management is a leader responsible for driving enterprise project governance, portfolio execution, and delivery excellence across the organization. In the context of the credit union, this role is critical in ensuring strategic initiatives, such as digital transformation, core system enhancements, regulatory compliance, and improvements in member experience, are delivered with discipline, transparency, and measurable impact. As a strategic partner to senior leadership, the VP of PMO ensures all initiatives are aligned with the credit union’s mission, regulatory environment, risk appetite, and long-term strategic objectives. A strong understanding of both the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies is essential, with the ability to oversee hybrid project models depending on the nature of the work (e.g., infrastructure, digital banking, core banking modernization, fraud prevention, or cybersecurity initiatives).


Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the enterprise PMO, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Lead the implementation and maturation of project management frameworks, including both traditional SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Establish and maintain project governance processes, dashboards, and reporting for executive leadership.
• Develop and enforce standardized project delivery processes, templates, and tools.
• Partner with senior leaders to align project portfolios with organizational strategy, capacity, and priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and results.
• Mentor and develop project managers, program managers, and other PMO staff.
• Lead change management efforts related to new processes, technologies, or organizational structures.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and issue escalation across programs.
• Monitor financial and operational KPIs related to project performance.
• Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs 


Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 7 years of experience leading a Project Management Office or similar function in a complex, enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in both SDLC and Agile project delivery methodologies.
• Preferred certifications: PMP, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or SAFe
• Experience with enterprise portfolio and resource management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Clarity, Jira, or similar).
• Possess fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and delivering large-scale initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and analytical skills to effectively manage areas of responsibility and attain organizational goals
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems or situations requiring broad-based solutions impacting multiple business units or functions
