Abri Credit Union ($372MM, Romeoville, IL) is seeking a new Vice President of Finance. Founded in 1949, the credit union has grown to serve more than 27,750 members across seven branches in the Chicagoland area.  Headquartered in Romeoville, Illinois—a dynamic community with a strong local economy, diverse population, and access to major employers and transportation hubs—Abri Credit Union provides a solid financial foundation for our members.

The Vice President of Lending will be instrumental in shaping the future of lending and driving strategic growth at Abri Credit Union. This role will lead the strategy and modernization of the credit union's lending operations, focusing on loan portfolio management, risk mitigation, and member service excellence. The Vice President of Lending will oversee all lending functions, including real estate, consumer, business, and participation loans as well as collections and loan servicing while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with the credit union’s strategic goals. The Vice President of Lending will serve as the Credit Manager for the credit union.

This leader will drive innovation in lending practices, adopting innovative technologies and data-driven strategies to enhance portfolio performance, member satisfaction, and overall financial growth. With the future of lending in credit unions rapidly evolving, the Vice President of Lending will play a key role in modernizing lending processes, implementing AI-driven solutions, and expanding digital lending channels.

In addition to overseeing loan portfolio management, the Vice President of Lending will foster collaboration across departments, ensuring the lending team works effectively with all areas of the credit union. They will also focus on employee development, ensuring the team can handle the changing lending landscape.

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We invite you to submit your resume or LinkedIn profile, showcasing five to ten years of experience leading, planning, and managing lending strategy and innovation within a financial institution. At least three to five years should be spent in a leadership role.

A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is required and an advanced degree would be a plus. Additionally, experience with loan portfolio management and strategic lending practices is highly valued. 

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000 annually.
