Established in 1935, the founding members of Miami Firefighters FCU were 28 firefighters who wanted to create a credit union that would “promote thrift among its members, by allowing them to accumulate their savings; and to create for them a source of credit.” From those humble beginnings nearly 90 years ago, Miami Firefighters FCU has grown to serve almost 6,000 firefighting professionals and their family members. Today, Miami Firefighters FCU is a multiple common bond charter whose field of membership includes the employees and retirees of numerous South Florida fire departments and other firefighter-affiliated groups.

In this role, you will provide crucial support across multiple roles, ensuring consistent service and operations as needed.


As a Credit Union Universal Resource Support Specialist , you will be an integral part of our team, providing coverage and support on a flexible basis. This role requires a strong understanding of credit union operations and the ability to adapt quickly to different work environments. To ensure seamless operations across our branches, you will handle various tasks, including member service, transaction processing, and administrative duties.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Branch Coverage: Provide temporary coverage, including filling in for staff on leave, supporting during peak times, or covering for vacancies.
  • Member Service: Greet members, assist with account inquiries, and process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day branch operations, including balancing cash drawers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and managing appointment schedules.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adapt to different systems and team dynamics while maintaining high service standards.
