Compensation: $90,000 - $175,000 based on experience and credentials

Location Type: Hybrid, a flexible work model blending in-office and remote working

Position Type: Full Time 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 

 

The Director of Workplace Banking seeks, develops, and maintains relationships with organizations, decision-makers, leaders, and influencers to position Suncoast Credit Union as a financial leader. This individual builds a strong pipeline of appointments through the self-generation of new leads, the development of Centers of Influence business contacts, and the maintenance of existing client relationships. The overall objective is to acquire the business of new organizations, their employees, and stakeholders to deepen their financial relationships with Suncoast. The director makes key decisions to drive shared business success and create long-term economic growth and community resilience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Workplace Banking Specialists who individually build strong pipelines of business through new and existing relationships
• Underwrite consumer and select small business loans to cultivate consumer and business private banking relationships
• Serve the needs of existing members and close sales deals to create new members
• Provide ongoing support to the staff who builds the member base through productive outbound calls to employers with a minimum of 25 employees with direct deposit across the Suncoast Credit Union footprint
• Schedule and facilitate onsite events at the acquired organizations to drive new membership growth
• Design, build and maintain CRM systems and workflows to support member engagement, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making; includes creating new configurations, managing integrations, and generating actionable reports and dashboard
• Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, setting timelines, managing deliverables, and ensuring initiatives are executed on time and within budget to meet strategic goals
• Perform underwriting and lending analysis, including evaluating credit applications, authoring loan recommendations, and ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards, and risk management practices
• Create an exceptional member service experience at the business locations
• Bring the “One Company” Initiative of building qualified referral production to other internal Line of Business partners (STIS, CUSO’s, Mortgages and Business Services)
• Collaborate with senior-level stakeholders to develop the Payments and Banking B2B marketing strategy, plan, and campaign, including cross-promotional opportunities to drive activation and efficiencies
• Support current products with sales enablement initiatives, digital projects, and multi-faceted communications to engage providers with financial literacy
• Deliver B2B marketing plan for events, sales collateral/support, and continuing education course management
• Oversee the campaign management including list and database management, email creative and production, reporting, and tracking
• Deliver regular reports of campaign results, including response analysis and evaluation of KPIs
• Provide Suncoast representation where impactful decisions are made as it relates to workforce, economic development, political advocacy, and affordable housing
• Collaborate with the internal steering committee of vice presidents and senior-level stakeholders to ensure resource alignment, build ongoing comradery, and facilitate system alignment
• Make business development decisions on behalf of the credit union
• Act as the VP of Business Development in the absence of the vice president
• Review and recommend new methods or procedures to make daily operations more efficient
• Perform considerable short-term planning, scheduling, and coordinating to develop and implement business objectives
• Set goals for assigned teams to achieve operational and strategic results
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities for directly reporting staff
• Cultivate strong working relationships, build trust among team members, and respond appropriately to employees' concerns
• Assist with the development, monitoring, and maintenance of the annual budget
• Assist with regulatory compliance to ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable laws and government regulations
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise
• Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
• Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted.)
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services, banking, revenue cycle, credit card, or payments industries
• A minimum of 7 years of B2B marketing experience in a highly matrixed organization, creating, and managing marketing campaigns with multiple work streams and interdependencies
• A minimum of 7 years of client management or agency experience
• Experience applying marketing analytics to inform marketing strategy including segmentation and targeting, measurement, and test / learn design and reporting
• Demonstrated experience with CRM software platforms, including hands-on use for data management, customer relationship tracking, and campaign execution; must have experience in building and customizing CRM workflows, reports, dashboards to support business objectives
• Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from initiation through completion; includes timeline development, resource coordination, risk management, and delivering measurable results within scope, time, and budget constraints
• Extensive underwriting and lending authority experience, with a strong understanding of credit risk assessment, loan structuring, and regulatory compliance; must be capable of making sound lending decisions and drafting credit narratives and approvals that align with institutional policies and risk tolerance
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• High energy, detail oriented and creative
• Proficiency with conducting and/or managing sales presentations
• Excellent organization, prioritization and analytical skills to effectively manage areas of responsibility and attain organizational goals
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems or situations
• Ability to positively influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures
• Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
• Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
• Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties

 

Safe Act Statement


This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). The employee will obtain a unique identifier from the registry before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities. The employee must maintain and renew the registration annually, provide updated registration information with the registry on a timely basis, and provide a unique identifier to consumers as required by applicable SAFE Act regulations and Suncoast Credit Union policies and procedures.
