Cloud Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer III to join our team.  As a Cloud Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in the configuration, and administration of the cloud platforms and systems used in the corporate network. You will architect, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud services and systems including serverless delivery systems, data management and recovery systems, 3rd party cloud integrations, virtual machines and operating systems, utilizing automation and service-based technology concepts.


While candidates can be based in any state where we have a presence, we prefer individuals in the greater Columbus, Ohio, or Jacksonville, Florida, area. Our work environment is primarily home/virtual with office onsite preference as appropriate.


Responsibilities:

  • Architects and provides escalated support of Azure, AVD, and O365 cloud platforms and technology services.
  • Architects and design virtualized server computing, file servers, databases, data backup/recovery, IaaS/SaaS/PaaS services, remote application delivery and O365 services, GPO, Active Directory, and Domain Management services.
  • Develops automated solutions for Windows and other 3rd party updates, patches to virtual machines and systems, disaster recovery and virtual machine/service deployment.
  • Administers and ensures availability of Microsoft’s various portals and administration areas to support, monitor, and design Azure based hosting and computing environments, build and maintain backup/redundancy solutions of all servers, virtual machines and SaaS components.
  • Provides proactive and strategic recommendation in areas of capacity, cost, automation, set up of administrator and service accounts, maintenance of system documentation, monitoring and tuning system performance, installation of system wide software, and allocation of mass storage space.
  • Participates in on-call rotation and provide escalated support in areas of server, virtual machine, cloud services, Windows services.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104 certification is a plus.
  • Seven years of related progressive experience.
  • Prior knowledge of system and network infrastructure design with a broad range of server and                       networking technologies is required.
  • Must have prior hand on experience in supporting and administering IT infrastructure, cloud networks           and data centers. 
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with related technologies.
  • Must possess experience and previous exposure to cloud-based environments and architecture of                digital technology solutions for enterprises.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
  • Working knowledge of systems, storage and data backup products. 
  • Conditional Access, Intune, and Microsoft Purview is preferred.
