Central Willamette Credit Union (CWCU) is seeking a Chief Experience Officer (or CXO). This person will be an experienced, visionary leader who is looking to make an impact. Serving on the executive leadership team and reporting directly to the CEO, the CXO will be responsible for building an exceptional environment for our team, our members, and our community.
Established in 1955, Central Willamette Credit Union began with the aim of serving people in and around Albany, Oregon. From that day forward, we’ve proudly served the financial needs of individuals, families, and small businesses in an area that now encompasses 25 counties across the state of Oregon. Over the decades, our name has changed, but the caliber of service has not. Today, we are recognized as CWCU, a name that we think fits, especially as we begin serving even more Oregonians across most of the state.

The role of Chief Experience Officer (CXO) is dynamic and multifaceted; it requires a strong communicator who can manage multiple projects with competing priorities. We’ll rely on you to help find creative solutions to solve tough challenges, and stay ahead of trends, and develop technology and member’s expectations in the financial industry.
As the CXO, you will lead all aspects of the member experience at CWCU. You will provide a strategic vision and execute that vision to achieve business plan objectives. The CXO should be creative and results-driven, capable of leading successful teams. The work you do will remove member friction points and help the credit union live its promise to make life easier for the members of Central Willamette Credit Union.
The CXO will mentor, manage, and motivate the sales, operations, member service and wealth management staff at the credit union. As a leader with a vision for the future, you will leverage technology to reach members wherever they are and drive growth. A collaborative approach to sharing ideas, information, and decision-making while being action-oriented will be key to success in this role. Net Promoter Score will be used to measure strategic performance as you oversee the program to aid in eliminating member friction points.
Your energy, creativity, and meaningful insights will influence our strategy and performance. As a member of the executive leadership team, you will help execute the strategic business plan of the credit union while working closely with front-line management to implement strategies and objectives to meet goals. Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to elevate performance and retain.
Help Us Get to Know You
If you’d like to be considered for the role of Chief Experience Officer, candidates should be able to demonstrate 7+ years of retail sales/service senior management experience, preferably within the financial services industry. Candidates should also have 5+ years of leadership/management experience. Include a resume that shows your background leading operations, marketing, or sales and service teams. Please include your education (Bachelor’s Degree is preferred) and any relevant work experience.
